A few of my Favorite Quick and Easy Tips for Sellers that aren't too costly!

The best thing you can do is make a buyer visualize themselves living there! Three Easy “How To’s”….

#1 MAXIMIZE LIGHT!

Making your house seem bright and cheery through these darker months is a HUGE plus! Make sure to clean your windows, change out any dark drapes, use higher wattage bulbs, and cut back brush that could potentially block any natural light from coming in. Brighter means more inviting and SELLABLE!

#2 Remove your personal touches

If a buyer comes into your home and they see family portraits and knickknacks, they will have a more difficult time envisioning their own items in the home. You don’t want that! Make it as easy as possible for the buyers to feel at home IMMEDIATELY and picturing themselves living there.

#3 Don’t Put in too much $$

When trying to fix up your home don’t overdo it. You don’t want to put in too much if the buyer is just going to redo it anyway or maybe they don’t like it! Be smart about what you put money into and make sure it brings the results you want, $$. One of the easiest things you can change that’s quick and inexpensive is cabinet hardware and handles. Try a more modern look or change out the colors if you have lived in your home for a while without doing any improvements. Next, neutralize any paint color- again make it easier for a buyer to imagine themselves living there. Fresh paint on interior walls always makes for a quick inexpensive improvement!
